Meet D’Andra

Pleasantville is home.

I am a lifelong Pleasantville resident. I attended our schools and walked these same streets, just as my parents did. This community is part of my family’s story, and I’m committed to its future.

As a Pleasantville High School graduate, parent, and current Board of Education member, I bring both lived experience and a deep connection to the families our schools serve.

In 1999, I received the Arthur F. Foreman Memorial Award while attending South Main Street Elementary School in Pleasantville. That recognition remains a meaningful part of my story as a student in the same community I now serve.

Through motivational speaking and advocating for young people facing hardship, my journey has reinforced the importance of showing up, listening, and helping others find a path forward.

My work in behavioral support has strengthened that commitment. I’m running independently to continue serving with a focus on students, honest communication, and a community where every child has the support to grow.

“Our children deserve a board that listens, shows up, and puts them first.”
